About GoalPredicts

GoalPredicts publishes football statistics and statistical match predictions. Our aim is to explain matches clearly and to be honest about uncertainty: every prediction is an estimate, and our full record, including losses, is public.

How predictions are produced

Most predictions start from a documented statistical model that estimates each team's expected goals from past results. You can read how it works in How the GoalPredicts Prediction Model Works. Fixtures, scores and standings come from our data provider, API-Football.

An editor reviews every model prediction before it is published and may reject it or adjust it. When a prediction is adjusted, the original model output is kept on record. Editors can also publish their own predictions; these are clearly shown as editorial picks rather than model output.

Editorial team

Guides and predictions are published by the GoalPredicts Editorial Team. Each guide shows the date it was last reviewed.

Transparency rules

  • Predictions are published before kickoff, with a publication time that can't be changed.
  • Once published, a prediction's selection and probability can't be edited. It can only be withdrawn before kickoff, and that is logged.
  • Every settled prediction, won, lost or void, appears on the results page.
  • We don't publish accuracy or profit claims that we can't back with our own published record.

Corrections

If a result was settled incorrectly (for example, a score was later corrected by the competition), we correct it through an audited process that records the original result and the reason. To report an error, contact us.

How we're funded

GoalPredicts is funded by membership fees. If we ever earn commission from betting operators, we will say so clearly on this page.
